Mifrasim (‘sails’ in Hebrew) is a non-profit venture, operating under “Topaz- Leading Social Innovations.” Mifrasim brings sail training voyages to Israel, on a unique sailboat. By pairing our skilled sailing crew and facilitators with each group’s to meet their specific needs, we create a unique and powerful platform that provides life changing voyages for:

ABOUT THE BOAT
After circling the world twice and sailing around Antarctica for 10 years, S/V YAMREED sailed from Holland to Israel at the end of 2018 to start her new role as Israel's Social Boat.
We chose the ‘Challenge 67’ sailboat as the flagship vessel for Mifrasim for several reasons: The Challenge 67 was built to be strong and seaworthy, designed for fast and safe sailing around the world. The boat is practical for our needs and offers adequate living conditions below deck, while providing a challenging and thrilling sailing experience under full sail.
The vessel is unique in she can only sail with the teamwork and collaboration of 20 sailors working together as a team. And when she sails, the experience is unforgettable! Similar large-scale vessels are used in organizations around the world to work with special populations to achieve their social goals.
